Emerson Electric Co. recently inked a $40 million deal to provide automation systems and services for Novo Nordisk and its $2 billion plant under construction in North Carolina.
The Clayton, N.C. plant will serve as a drug manufacturing facility for the Danish-based Novo Nordisk.
Novo Nordisk will implement Emerson’s Project Certainty approach which takes complexity out of projects and helps with meeting tighter project deadlines, according research from Zack’s Equity Research.
The announcement comes on top of a $20 million design-build contract awarded to Emerson to construct an automation project for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
The point here is automation continues to be a vibrant industry that requires highly skilled professionals to do the job right, the first time.
